BATATA WADA also known as ALOO VADA and i think in sindhi PATATA WADA
For Potato Filling
2 potatoes , boiled and diced
1 onion chopped fine
1/4 teaspoon each mustard and cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
a pinch of hing (asafoetida)
a pinch of turmeric powder
a few curry leaves
green chillies and chopped coriander
Batter
1 cup besan (gram flour)
water to make the batter, i use carbonated water
salt to taste
oil to deep fry
Method
heat about a teaspoon of oil in a pan and add the hing and let it cook for 5 seconds and then add the mustard seeds, when they stop popping then u add the cumin seeds and curry leaves.

then add the chopped onion, and saute till transparent
add the green chillies and then the turmeric powder.
add the cubed potatoes and mix all well. season with salt and lemon juice.
mix well and taste for seasoning. cool this potato mixture and then make balls.
For The Batter
heat the oil.
mix the besan with the carbonated water and make a semi thick batter.
coat each potato ball with this batter.
fry carefully in the oil taking care not to burn your fingers. fry till golden brown.
